Narrative Toward Books Infinity (Chronicles of Nick #1)
At fourteen, Nick Gautier thinks he knows everything about the world around him. Streetwise, tough and savvy, his quick sarcasm is the stuff of legends. . .until the night when his best friends try to kill him. Saved by a mysterious warrior who has more fighting skills than Chuck Norris, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity. Nick quickly learns that the human world is only a veil for a much larger and more dangerous one: a world where the captain of the football team is a werewolf and the girl he has a crush on goes out at night to stake the undead. But before he can even learn the rules of this new world, his fellow students are turning into flesh eating zombies. And he's next on the menu. As if starting high school isn't hard enough. . .now Nick has to hide his new friends from his mom, his chainsaw from the principal, and keep the zombies and the demon Simi from eating his brains, all without getting grounded or suspended. How in the world is he supposed to do that?Rating Containing Books Infinity (Chronicles of Nick #1)

Couldnt finish the book Review I couldnt stop rolling my eyes, How contrived a narrative can you force onto people to try to make them sympathise and like a character? I found Nick so badly written and all the people who he talks too so stereotyped into a box I couldnt even get into the real plot.Nick;Hes poor,Smart but nerdy,Doesnt have any friends,Hes really really poor,Hes from a broken dysfunctional home, so he doesnt have a dad or any connection to his grandparents,Hes bullied, because hesThis book is terrible! I might have been more interested if the writing wouldn't have been as bad. This book is written in the 3rd person, but it seemed as if she was confused as to who the main character was. All of the characters are written together and "thinking" and "saying" things at the same time and you have no idea who is thinking or saying what. After getting past that, the possible main character, Nick, is not even close to relatable. It's as if she was trying to make him a comedian
Nick already has plenty of struggles in his life - he's poor, constantly has to defend his exotic dancer of a mother, and he is smart enough to want to stay out of trouble despite society's pressures to keep him in the gutter. It seems that he is destined to feel more struggles as supernatural begin to influence him as well when he is rescued from a beating by a Dark Hunter and exposed to the supernatural world. This story is pretty action-packed. I was surprised when there was a zombie outbreak

There is absolutely nothing in this book to recommend it. The writing is crap. The author doesn't know how to identify with teens and constantly talks down to her readers. There is nothing even resembling logic. The plot is all over the place. The characters are flat and dull, when they aren't being needlessly dramatic. Just...in every single aspect possible, this book fails.
Infinity is the first book in Sherrilyn Kenyon's Chronicles of Nick series. This book starts with Nick at age fourteen when he is first introduced into the supernatural world: first by Kyrian saving him from being beaten to death by his "friends" and second after zombies attack at his school. His powers as the Malachai are slowly unleashed and Nick finally realizes that there is a world out there that he never knew about.I loved finally starting to learn more about Nick. I mean, we know some
THE WORST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ.The writing is stilted, the story is dull, it doesn't make sense. The main character is a complete waste of space - I didn't like him at all, and was glad when bad things happened to him. There is no explanation for anything, and things happen for no reason at all; nothing is ever explained, or acknowledged. Things just happen, and are put across in this terrible attempt-funny style of writing that's just disjointed and lazy. Not to mention that the protag's
