I read it as a teenager and I remember that I loved it.
One of the highlights---this poem by a female student who wished to remain anonymous:

'Things you didn't do'

This book opened up my eyes the first time I read this, and I keep on going back to this book to ignite something new. That's how powerful the words of this lecturer and Love teacher is. It always spark that something inside of you.Today as I turn 46, I re-read the chapter "On Becoming You" and once again, it brought me back to myself. This book was originally required reading for me. It became the best $0.01 I ever spent on Amazon. The lessons taught in Dr. Buscaglia's book cover a myriad of topics from communication to trust to feelings to hugs. Along the way he provides wonderful insight and advice to those who wish to understand themselves and everyone else who considers themself human. Surpisingly, this work was entertaining, informantive and useful to me and I am nowhere near being a member of the Bleeding Heart Brigade.

I generally hate self-help/inspirational type books, however this book holds a soft spot in my heart.Living Loving and Learning is a collection of Leo Buscaglia's lectures and is replete with anecdotal interactions from students, readers, and friends. Buscaglia's message is inspired from everyday events that we often fail to notice. He points out most people take too many things for granted and become misguided by fame, authority, or money. They forget the real meaning of living and loving.

The best way to see life. Namaste!

Is there anything else a man can ask for? Leo Buscaglia has the tremendous ability to bring out our finest self with this book! This book contains advice and points of view we should all be familiar with if you also belong to those people that think that this world needs a change :)

Read and reread as a teenager. Helped me to be accepting and loving, I really liked his philosophy on life. Feb 2020, reading this at my age I would give it 2 or 3 stars. I still like his ideas but I find it laborious to read, repetitive and simple.

To be honest I wasn't expecting to like this book very much. It was one of those books always touted as something you "had" to read if you were going into education back when I was in college. So, of course I avoided it like the plague.When my book group selected it, I ordered it from the library and gave it a shot. It was much better than I thought it would be.
