Peter Blauner's The Intruder will without a doubt be one of the best books I read all year! From beginning to end, I found myself thorougly intrigued by the plot and characters of this story. Not only is The Intruder full of action and suspense, but it is a great example of humanity at both its best and worst. The book excels at whisking its readers into a world of sadness, violence, and even - at times - hope. As an author, I have to say that The Intruder is a book that I highly recommend to anyHaha I know I always get them back but hated that book so much
You actually gave it to me and told me you didnt want it back and I loved it 😂

Took some time to get into it...thought Dana and Jake a bit slow on the uptake especially a defense attorney in NYC should hav e known better..but a good ending...
I love reading Peter Blauner because of his grip on various aspects of society and how they tend to slam up against one another in New York City. He has a mastery of character structure and contrasts very different lives with each other before a character inevitably crosses the lineand it is there that things explode and become something new.for more read: http://annotationnation.wordpress.com...
This was a great book I thought. If I'm not mistaken this was Blauner's 1st novel and I really dug the narrative. It almost read like you were hearing a friend of yours tell you this awesome story about a crazy aggressive neighbor who was freaking out a family. It's been several years since I read it, so I can't give a full on review, but it was good.
I read this book many years ago (and have since read all of Blauner's other books) and couldn't remember why I'd always pegged it as a "someday reread". Now I remember. This is not a heart-pounding page turner; the suspense is more of a slow burn. It's a captivating story with ironic twists, and it also pulls a little at the old heartstrings. Blauner is a talented writer, and I hope he's still putting books out there, because I'm ready for another.
