Vie Eliot has survived a new high school, an abusive father, and the murderous Mr. Big Empty. Now, as Vie searches for Mr. Big Empty, he also finds himself facing an unexpected complication: how to be a good boyfriend.

When a mysterious drifter named River disappears, though, Vie finds himself dragged into finding the missing boy. Vie’s psychic abilities have proved useful in the past, and once again they set him on the trail of a gruesome murderer.

But the pattern of killings seems to make no sense, and as Vie tries to stop the murderer, he learns that the people he loves most are in terrible danger.

And the killings may be much more personal than Vie has suspected.

Comment On About Books All the Inside Howling (Hollow Folk #2)
Intense is the only word that comes to mind. I feel for Vie, and I'm delighted for his growing circle. Mother Sara, badass Becca, Here for the long run Emmett, and compassionate Austin.

I would have liked to have seen more growth from Vie. I ended up putting this aside at about 75% because he was still being destructively obstructive and it just didn't make sense anymore.

The only thing I don't like in this series is the bloody love triangle. Urgh

...Just...HOW are there not thousands of people screaming about this series? What travesty is this??Vie continues to be one of the most complex characters I've ever encountered. The hardships he faces in this book--both mental and physical--are utterly heartbreaking. But Gregory Ashe doesn't use that as an excuse for all the awful things he says and does, which I loved. We also continue to peel away at the layers of Austin and Emmett and really see them for the lonely teenagers that they are.

This one killed me 😭

Continues with characters from Ashe's first book in Hollow Folk series, but with new revelations and expanded characters. In places it could use a bit of editing, cutting of unnecessary material, but it is good. A wider range of skills beyond the basic psychic things are also explored. And, of course, it ends with a perfect set up for another in the series.

Stayed up all night to finish; loved it. Its a bid longer from my usual taste for this sort of stories, and I dont normally read teen wolf type of high school dramas, but this is too good to pass. If the third book was here, Im sure Id continue to read that too, who needs sleep when you just got to know what happens next, right? But its not out yet, so let me just say this: cant wait for the next one!
