I have to say that I probably never would have found this AMAZING book had the author not requested a review for it! I'm so glad that she did! I absolutely LOVED this book. It took me two days to finish this book when it usually takes me a week to finish one. That's not to say that this is a short book because it isn't! It's just SO GOOD that I couldn't put it down! I was completely enthralled from beginning to end and I can't wait to read book 2!Thank you so much Talia Jager for giving me toPretty good but overall kinda short and a obvious ending.
Cover/Title: The series name is what made me pick up the book. However, the cover is pretty and the title fits well. Characters: I enjoyed reading about this group of friends. I wish the author had done a bit more background for the characters. The reader doesn't really learn much about them until towards the end of the book. Plot: Teens with abilities attend a special school. Kassia has more trouble controlling her abilities than most of them. Then her friend is attacked and Kassia is forced to

This is more a story about teenage friendships and choices than science fiction/fantasy. It is set in a world of demons and paranormal teens. Unlike Harry Potter or Hunger Games, we don't really get a feel of the school or the world and the battles are not detailed. But, the emotions and thoughts of the characters are presented in a well scripted manner so the reader gets insight into the friendships, fears, joys, and sacrifices giving rise to the ultimate decisions of the main characters. It is
Kassia is a mind blower (she has the power to cause severe pain and even cause death...only by using her mind). WOW! What would you do with powers like that? She doesn't know how to control her powers or her anger....so that is a bad combination to have. Kassia attends the Glendale Institute. It is a school of gifted individuals who learns about their powers and how to use them. Kassia's friends all have different powers, and they learn to work together as a team. Miya is Kassia's best friend,
The story jumps right into the "gifts" of the gifted teens... most unusual of them being Kassia who is capable of staring someone to death, literally. She is surrounded by friends Mira, a compeller of thoughts and immune to Kassia's death stare; Noe who can glimpse the future; Auralee who can hear people's thoughts; Zane, who can communicate with animals and anyone of any nationality; and Daxton, who has the ability to take anyone anywhere in dreams. Spotlight goes to Kassia when evil forces
This is an Amazing Book!!I Highly recommend this book to those teens who love Teen emotions, Drama and Adventure. This book is set in an institute located in California, where the kids with powers or gifts go to learn and control their powers. This book revolves around a sixteen year old Kassia who is gifted with a deadly power to cause pain or even kill a person with her"death stare".She has friends named Mira, Noe, Auralee, Daxton and Zane. One day an incident with her best friend Mira turns her
