Hearing this news is the worst day of his life so to ease himself for a while,he stopped by at his favorite diner and there..he met this very awesome,fascinating young waitress who spilled coffee and ruined the sandwich he just ordered. This book was amazing! I read with a lump in my throat through most of it, on the verge of tears - sometimes sad, sometimes happy, and sometimes somewhere in the middle.Oliver is a normal teenager when he gets a medical diagnosis that changes everything. He realizes he could die, but along comes Hannah, who's lively and fun, and she challenges him to focus on living every moment to the fullest. I really enjoyed Hannah a lot, and found their relationship to be equally sweet and fun, standing up

Amber L. Johnson is one of the brightest new authors on the horizon. Her debut novella, Where We Fell, contains everything that I love about a story: solid writing, fantastic editing, a strong heroine, a heart-wrenching storyline, and a happy ever after. Sometimes novellas can be too short, but this novella is just around 25,000 words and is the perfect size for this type of story. I believe it's being labeled as New Adult, but I think it can be enjoyed by (and is appropriate for) young adult

Where We Fell is the story of Oliver, who was diagnosed with cancer a few days before his high school graduation, and Hannah, on summer break from college and working in the local diner.Oliver's feelings are so palpable you can't help but tear up for him. His feeling of numbness were so realistic, you just nodded your head in agreement as the chapter unfolded.Hannah is a carefree and outgoing girl, yet there was some darkness in her past. She spot's Oliver in the diner the day he was diagnosed.

I am in love with Amber's books they are just so soul satisfying. This book is a quick read but she still manages to give you a very complete and beautiful story. Oliver is getting ready to graduate from high school and looking forward to the summer before college when he finds out that he has cancer. It is on this very bad day that he meets Hannah and she breezes into his life and is clearly not deterred about his new diagnosis. The book realistically depicts his battle and her ability to
