This series is so GOOD! Why aren't more people reading and freaking out about these books? I mean, yes, it's a similar billionaire BDSM cinderella story, but it's so well written, and I feel like the stakes are higher because the heroine is HOMELESS, and watching her cross the divide into the life of the super wealthy was just fascinating to watch. Plus, the psychology of submission made so much sense in her case, after a life of being on alert and having to take care of herself and her motherI stayed up late to finish this last night as I couldn't put it down! I did not see the turn of event coming! It is breaking my heart!!! I am going straight into book 3!! This book is sooo emotional and sooo hot! Some of the best sex I have ever read!!!
Ok, I waited a couple months before reading this second installment in The Surrender trilogy. The first book, Falling In, was so good, and I knew that bad things were coming, so I had to make myself wait to read this one. I guess I just wanted to revel in where Evelyn and Lucian were at the end of Falling In, and wanted to hold off the inevitable for awhile. I loved how gone for Evelyn Lucian is. Ahhhhh, I hate Parker. I feel so sorry for Lucian, but in a way what happened was partly his fault. I'm just glad he finally realized it. It might have sounded a little too late for Scout, but I'm still rooting for Scout and Lucian. But I just love it how the author makes Scout this vulnerable yet strong heroine. I love her! OK, on to book three.
This is a hell of book2 sequel of the series.No mercy, no comteplations, rollercoaster of emotions.The author forgot to include butterflies, puppies, cute bunnies and nice daisies, you have been warned.Maybe the author includes all the cute props on the 3rd book of the series... i'll find out.Awesome 2nd books ever read in my life...
